Halle's Story

At 18 weeks, Amy began to experience complications, to find out she was dilated 4-5cm and her amniotic sac was out of the cervix. She was sent via ambulance to UAB hospital to try and save the pregnancy by putting a stitch in her cervix to help it close. They were unsuccessful with the stitch and told the family there was nothing else they could do and they should go home and wait for her to have a miscarriage.  Amy, spoke with her OB and they decided to re-admit her to Shelby Baptist Hosptial and try to save the pregnancy. After a couple of days of bedrest they re-examined her to find she was 3 cm dilated with a foot out of the birth canal. Amy fought for 7 weeks to give Halle the best chance of survival possible.  On April 17, 2012 Halle Scott Windham was born at 24 weeks weighing 1.9lbs 12 inches long.  She had a up hill battle and was soon named Sassy Frass because of her fighting spirit.  She has been in the NICU since April and still has a long way to go.  Halle's biggest battle right now is how sick her lungs are.  She has been off and on the Ventilator, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula with Nitric gas. 

We will use the money from the sell of the t-shirts to help cover the cost of travel to and from the hospital, parking, and the medical bills from Halle's stay. 

Last Order of Halle-Lujah T-shirts are due Nov. 20th! This will be the last time we order this design.  We are hoping to have new designs at the beginning of the year!  Thank you to All that have ordered!

  Two sweet ladies are also selling silicone bracelets as a fundraiser. These have to be ordered through mail.  One side of the bracelet says Halle Scott Windham and the other side says HALLE-lujah 4/17/2012. They are available in adult and child sizes and are $5.00 each.
